I’m a creative director, visual marketer, shooter, editor, teacher, designer, and otherwise wearer of many hats. I live in Raleigh, NC, where my flexible skills help e-commerce businesses grow and expand through better websites and creative online marketing. I recently spent a year and a half in Hanoi, Vietnam, where I wrote about and shot Vietnamese food for The Kitchn and inflicted English language skills upon teenagers from around the world.
Through my work, I’ve gotten to see the inner workings of marketing for small businesses as I help plan and implement digital marketing strategies. I’ve designed a visual brand from the ground up and made videos viewed by hundreds of thousands. I’ve gotten to feel like a rock star in the small fish sauce-making village of Sa Chau, Vietnam; hung a camera from a crop duster and smushed countless young corn plants in America’s breadbasket; climbed and hung by a prusik forty feet above ground in the mountains of North Carolina; and shot in 12 US states and 8 countries.
I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, where I studied journalism and mass communication, U.S. history, and Arabic. When I’m not working, I love to cook, do yoga, read and hike. I’m currently working on learning wheel pottery and teaching myself piano.
